The CSJ Crown Drill Bit (7D) is a high-performance, indexable insert drilling system designed for high-speed, deep-hole drilling applications. Featuring a robust front-locking body coupled with a precise side-locking drill tip, this system allows for quick insert changes directly on the machine, minimizing downtime. Engineered with an integrated internal cooling system, it delivers optimal chip evacuation and thermal management during continuous, deep-hole machining up to seven times the drill’s diameter ($7\times D$).
| Parameter | Specification / Details |
| Drilling Depth Ratio | 7D ($7 \times \text{Diameter}$) |
| Drilling Diameter Range | $8.50 \text{ mm} – 8.99 \text{ mm}$ |
| Clamping Mechanism | Front-locking body with a side-locking drill tip |
| Cooling Type | Internal cooling (through-coolant) |
| Tool Type | Indexable crown drill |
| Compatibility | Suitable for high-speed CNC machines, machining centers, and lathe drilling |
Fast Insert Exchange (Front-Locking Design): The front-locking mechanism paired with a side-locking tip allows operators to replace worn crown inserts without removing the drill body from the holder, drastically reducing setup times and boosting productivity.
Optimal Chip Evacuation (Internal Cooling): Dual internal coolant channels deliver high-pressure fluid directly to the cutting edges. This rapidly flushes out chips from deep holes, preventing chip packing and reducing heat-induced wear.
Superior Rigidity and Precision: Specially engineered drill body provides excellent structural strength, minimizing vibration and deflection during deep-hole penetration ($7\times D$) to maintain tight hole tolerances and excellent surface finish.
Cost-Efficient Indexable System: Instead of replacing the entire drill body, you only replace the crown tip. This significantly lowers your cost-per-hole compared to solid carbide drills.
Heavy Machinery Manufacturing: Efficiently drilling deep, high-precision holes in structural steel, machine beds, and heavy components.
Automotive & Aerospace Engineering: Ideal for machining engine blocks, transmission components, and landing gear assemblies where depth-to-diameter accuracy is critical.
Die and Mold Making: Precision cooling line drilling in complex injection molds and extrusion dies.
Hydraulics and Pneumatics: Crafting deep manifolds, valve bodies, and cylinder housings with flawless internal surface finishes.
